On October 3, 2023, the demonstration path created by the LIFE SPAN project was inaugurated within one of the SHSs present in the Foresta del Cansiglio Orientale, more precisely along the Slipari trail, a famous trail that crosses precisely one of the areas where the interventions in favor of saproxylic organisms have been carried out.

The inauguration, organized as part of the CNR's centennial celebrations, was attended by classes from the Tambre middle school and the Forestry Corps of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region, which in the future will promote the trail through its environmental education activities.

The trail can also be used independently and is designed to allow visitors to "touch with their own hands" the themes of the project. Following the various stages, marked by Notice Boards, it is possible to see the activities put in place by LIFE SPAN for the protection of saproxylic biodiversity in the Cansiglio Forest.

Accesses to the trail, marked by special information panels, are located at La Crosetta, taking the Candaglia road, and near the Bus de la Lum parking. In both cases, it is necessary to reach the Slipari trail, which crosses the area where the demonstration path was created.
