Few weeks ago, a two-day workshop was held in Germany to discuss various management systems and their impact on biodiversity. In addition to employees of the University of Würzburg, representatives of the neighbouring forestry associations, forestry managers, conservationists and policymakers as well as interested parties were also involved.

Il 10 novembre a Trento si è tenuto il workshop “Progetto LIFE SPAN ed altre esperienze: selvicoltura, biodiversità e networking | a che punto siamo?”. L’evento, organizzato dal progetto Life SPAN, in collaborazione con EUSALP (AG7) e l’Associazione Forestale del Trentino, ha fatto il punto della situazione sul monitoraggio e sulla gestione della biodiversità forestale in Italia.

Last week in Cansiglio (Italy) the national meeting of ProSilva Italia, in collaboration with the LIFE SPAN project, was held to discuss silvicultural interventions for the management of dendro-necromass and biodiversity in beech forests.

Il 3 ottobre 2023 è stato inaugurato il percorso dimostrativo realizzato dal progetto LIFE SPAN all’interno di una delle SHS presenti nella Foresta del Cansiglio Orientale, più precisamente lungo il Sentiero degli Slipari, un tracciato molto frequentato che attraversa proprio una delle aree in cui sono stati realizzati gli interventi a favore degli organismi saproxilici.

A few days ago in the Eastern Cansiglio Regional Forest, the first training workshop for the use of the LIFE SPAN project's martelloscopes was held.

On June 7th in Cansiglio we had the first training session with the technicians of our local partner Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region, to share information and tools useful for their dissemination activities with the schools.
